Meeting of the Interministerial WG on the promotion of the green economy, circular economy, and ESG principles

The meeting of the Interministerial Working Group on the promotion of the green economy, circular economy, and ESG principles was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.

The event brought together representatives of public authorities, UN organizations, development partners, and the business community.

Key topics discussed included:
🔹 the preliminary findings of the Industrial Waste Mapping (IWM) exercise and their role in improving resource efficiency and developing industrial symbiosis;
🔹 the current status of the four priority sectors for the circular economy;
🔹 the concept of the Circular Economy Alliance/Hub;
🔹 strengthening cooperation among relevant stakeholders and establishing the next steps.

🏢 FIA Moldova was represented by Inga Pascal, Project Manager, who reiterated the business community’s openness to participating in the industrial waste mapping process. The involvement of companies is essential, given that FIA Moldova members operate across various industrial and economic sectors and can contribute relevant data and expertise to the development of effective solutions for waste prevention, reuse, and recovery.
