Meeting of the Dispute Resolution Council at the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP)

Tuesday 11 August, 2026
Start: Tuesday 11 August, 2026 -

Today, a regular session of the Dispute Resolution Council at the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP) was held to examine a preliminary appeal submitted by an economic operator regarding the marketing of tobacco products, in particular nicotine pouches.

The appeal concerned the annulment of findings resulting from an inspection conducted by ANSP in its capacity as the competent regulatory authority.

During the session, Council members conducted a thorough review of the submitted documentation and carefully considered the explanations provided by representatives of the Inspectorate. The discussions included a detailed technical and legal assessment of the matters raised, with the aim of clarifying the issues under review and ensuring that the proceedings are conducted in accordance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework.

FIA Moldova considers the active participation of the business community in regulatory and dispute-resolution proceedings essential to fostering fair, transparent, predictable, and consistent regulatory practices. Constructive dialogue between public authorities and the private sector contributes to strengthening institutional trust and supporting a business environment grounded in the rule of law.

FIA Moldova was represented at the meeting by Inga Pascal, Project Manager.
