Today, the Foreign Investors Association (FIA) is participating in the MACRO 2025 Conference, organized by Expert-Grup and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, focused on reducing disparities, tackling poverty, and accelerating economic convergence in the context of Moldova’s EU integration process.
The event brings together representatives of the business community, Government, Parliament, and the analytical sector, while the presentation of the report “Republic of Moldova 2025 – State of the Country Report” provides a solid foundation for discussion.
📌 The report offers a comprehensive analysis of economic, social, and investment trends, and its conclusions confirm many of the priorities that FIA consistently promotes:
🔹 The business environment remains affected by uncertainty, although improvements are visible in transparency, economic governance, and perceptions of corruption.
🔹 Investments are gradually recovering, driven mainly by local private capital and the modernization of the IT, equipment, and infrastructure sectors.
🔹 The trade deficit and industrial competitiveness remain major challenges requiring coherent policies and stronger support for exports.
🔹 Companies continue to invest in modernization, although foreign capital remains cautious due to regional risks and limited predictability.
🔹 The share of renewable energy is increasing — a strong signal for the green transition and energy resilience.
📌 The report also highlights two essential policy directions: leveraging the EU Growth Plan and ensuring continuous consultation with the private sector — both central recommendations in FIA’s White Book of Competitiveness.
