The launch event of the Analysis of the European Commission’s recommendations on the application of the European Union acquis in the field of consumer protection, as well as the Alternative Report addressed to the European Commission in the context of the preparation of the 2026 Enlargement Report for the Republic of Moldova, was held under the auspices of the European Consumer Centre of the Republic of Moldova (ECC Moldova).
📑 The documents provide a complementary perspective on the Republic of Moldova’s progress in implementing the requirements related to Chapter 28 “Consumer and Health Protection”, analysing EU recommendations, progress achieved, key gaps in the transposition and implementation of the acquis, as well as the actions needed to strengthen the legal and institutional consumer protection framework.
🤝 The event served as a platform for dialogue among public authorities, civil society, the business community, experts and development partners on reform priorities, implementation challenges, and the steps needed to strengthen consumer protection and advance the Republic of Moldova’s European integration process.
