The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova held an informative session on the regulations contained in the draft Regulation implementing the new Customs Code on 23 February.
Representatives of the business environment presented their position on the document, submitted proposals, suggestions and recommendations, which as a result generated an open and constructive discussion.
The draft Regulation is structured in 9 chapters containing regulations on the mechanisms for issuing, suspending, withdrawing, amending and cancelling the authorization of authorized economic operators; the procedure for issuing decisions on the application of customs legislation; the factors on the basis of which import or export duties are applied; rules for placing goods under a customs procedure, etc.

The entry into force of the new Customs Code is proposed to be on 01.01.2024.
