The event titled “European Integration and Trade Policy: Opportunities and Challenges for the Economy of the Republic of Moldova” was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, on the platform of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister.
During the discussions, participants analyzed:
* the opportunities and challenges of European integration for the national economy;
* the impact of the EU accession process on trade and investment policies;
* best practices and valuable lessons from the experience of other candidate countries.
At the same time, studies conducted by international experts were presented, covering:
* tariff implications for Moldova’s exports in the context of existing free trade agreements;
* the assessment of import structure and trade policy in the EU accession process;
* the alignment of investment agreements with European Union requirements.
