On December 14, 2017, FIA representative participated at Economic Council Meeting on the amendment of the Law on copyright and related rights. The representatives of the business environment and Collective Management Organizations (OGCs) have expressed different views on how the provisions of this law are to be drafted. The business representatives have requested a review of the law in terms of the tax provided by it and create an exhaustive list of devises subject to compensatory remuneration. At the end of the debates, AGEPI Director called on the parties involved in this process to give up mutual accusations and continue examining the project proposed by the authors.
