Dispute Resolution Council Meeting within the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA)

Tuesday 13 January, 2026
Start: Monday 12 January, 2026 -

On January 12, 2026, the first regular session of the Dispute Resolution Council of the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) was held this year, during which three preliminary requests submitted by economic operators seeking the annulment of inspection findings issued by ANSA, in its capacity as the competent regulatory authority, were reviewed.

During the meeting, Council members conducted a thorough analysis of the legal and factual arguments presented in support of the requests. Particular attention was paid to assessing whether the inspection process and the resulting findings complied with the principles of procedural fairness, regulatory compliance, and due process.

The session reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the consistent application of state control regulations in the Republic of Moldova.

The Dispute Resolution Council functions as an impartial body within ANSA, responsible for reviewing challenges and appeals submitted by economic operators regarding inspection outcomes. Its activity contributes to safeguarding both consumer safety and business rights.

FIA Moldova was represented at the meeting by Inga Pascal, Project Manager.
