Discussions on the finalized version of the Draft Law Amending Certain Regulatory Acts (Aspects Related to Banking Activities) (Unique Number 547/MF/BNM/2026), following its endorsement, public consultation and expert review, were held under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance, on the platform of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister.
The discussions focused on proposals put forward by the business community during the public consultation process, including aspects related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. Their purpose was to ensure a common understanding of the draft law, agreed upon by all stakeholders, prior to its consideration by the Government.
