Modernizing labor relations: consultations between authorities and the business community!
The working session dedicated to the prior public consultation on the draft law amending the Labor Code, the Contravention Code, and the Law on the State Labor Inspectorate was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
The draft law aims to transpose several European Union acts regulating key aspects of labor relations. During the discussions, a number of proposals were examined, including:
• regulation of part-time work and overtime;
• strengthening the competencies of the State Labor Inspectorate and remediation mechanisms;
• procedures for informing and consulting employees’ representatives;
• the regulatory framework on collective redundancies and transfer of undertakings.
FIA Moldova was represented by human resources experts from its member companies.
