As part of the bilateral screening process with the European Union under Chapter 1, a consultation meeting with representatives of the Moldovan business community was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.
The discussion focused on the European Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA), which establishes a framework of measures to strengthen the EU ecosystem for net-zero technology manufacturing, and on assessing the potential implications of its transposition.
The aim of the meeting was to evaluate the possible impacts of the NZIA on the Republic of Moldova, particularly in relation to:

access to EU markets for net-zero technologies and industrial components;

risks and opportunities for importers and investors in green technologies;

setting national priorities in preparation for a potential future transposition process.
