Regular informal meetings to ensure open communication with authorities and identify priorities for joint collaboration.
On 28 September, FIA members met with Mr Bolea Vladimir Iosif, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, in an informal setting. The purpose of the meeting was to present the Association, its mission, its members and to share the vision of the investment climate in Moldova, as well as to learn about the reforms, policies and strategies planned within the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
The participants also listed a number of impediments faced in the context of the multiple crises and put forward a number of proposals to overcome them.
Among the topics mentioned were the need to finalize the new Land Code, which will allow attracting new investors and ensuring their protection; granting State support to stimulate the use of alternative energy sources; the provisions of the Internal Trade Law no. 231/2010; subsidizing farmers to facilitate their access to water for irrigation; reviewing the mechanism for using the Agricultural Subsidy Fund, and others.
