A new round of public consultations on the Draft Law on Mediation and the Status of Mediators was recently held under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice 🏛️.
The event brought together representatives of the financial and banking sector, insurance companies, utility providers, and business associations 🤝.
Discussions focused on the application of mediation in debt recovery disputes, the benefits of amicable solutions, international best practices, and the practical aspects of the mandatory first information session, during which the parties receive explanations and can decide whether to continue with mediation or turn to the courts ⚖️, while also benefiting from a reduced state fee 💰.
FIA Moldova was represented by Ana Groza, Executive Director, who supports the importance of balanced and effective regulation aimed at strengthening trust in mediation as a viable alternative for dispute resolution.
