On October 12, at “Antreprenor Expo 2024” event, Mrs. Ana Groza, Executive Director of the Association of Foreign Investors in Moldova (FIA), moderated the Panel “Green Economy – Sustainable development objective of the economy of the Republic of Moldova”.
The main guest speakers of the panel were:
– Ion Lica – SME’s Greening Program, Organization for Entrepreneurial Development (ODA).
– Roman Bahnaru – Sustainability Researcher and Trainer.
Thus, among the topics discussed in the panel were related to green economy, sustainability, sustainable development and ESG principles. At the same time, the impact of greening initiatives and ESG reporting on the national economy was explored, but also how these practices contribute to a more responsible and sustainable business environment.
At the end of the panel, the following conclusions were highlighted by the business environment, such as:
– the necessity for the exact transposition of the EU Directives related to the sector;
– to ensurie a transition period for their implementation;
– launching an extensive media campaign to inform and familiarize SMEs with non-financial reporting.
