The “University for the Third Age” – Moldcell Foundation
Age should never be a barrier to learning, and the collaboration with UNFPA Moldova and the State University of Moldova underlines the Moldcell Foundation’s commitment to promoting digital inclusion among the elderly and the importance of lifelong learning. 📖👵
As part of the Digital Skills Connect Generations program, we witnessed the incredible desire of seniors to learn and grow. Our belief is that through active aging and continuous learning, we not only build neural connections, but also stay younger longer, and age is just a number.
The “University for the Third Age” concept aligns perfectly with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a strong focus on Quality Education, Health and Wellness and Reduced Inequality.
Currently in its pilot stage, ‘University for the Third Age’ has a mission to provide quality education for all ages. People aged 60 and over are invited to apply. These courses will be offered free of charge from October 2023 to April 2024 and will cover key topics such as ‘Developing digital skills’ and ‘Wellbeing and intergenerational communication’.
