Social Theatre Initiative / Moldcell Foundation

Moldcell Foundation and UNICEF Moldova have joined forces to promote inclusion and prevent bullying among children and adolescents through the Social Theatre initiative—an instrument that transforms schools into spaces of dialogue, empathy, and trust.

Launched in 2025, the initiative has already demonstrated strong results:

  • more and more students understand that disability is not an illness
  • over 90% reject the idea that children with special educational needs cannot learn
  • nearly twice as many students have the courage to intervene in bullying situations

In 2026, the initiative will reach 45 schools across 10 districts, involving approximately 7,000 students. With the support of Moldcell Foundation, social theatre performances will be brought directly into schools, offering children a safe space to express their opinions and become part of the solution.

Through Social Theatre, adolescents are not just spectators—they become creators. They share their stories, reflect on real-life challenges, and give a voice to those who are often unheard.

Partnerships between the public sector, international organizations, and the private sector are essential for building lasting change.

This initiative is part of the national campaign “Learning Together,” implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research and supported by the Governments of Austria and Norway.
