Petrom Moldova plants forests for tomorrow
Petrom Moldova plants for tomorrow! Offsetting global emissions through the plantation of forest – is one of the most important climate projects of the Petrom Moldova Sustainability Strategy. In the area of climate protection, Petrom Moldova takes measures at all levels by launching an afforestation campaign where our company will plant approximately 20,000 trees, in the period 2022-2024, contributing to the greening of the Republic of Moldova.
As a result of this Campaign, in just 4-5 years, the new forest will contribute to the extraction of 1,200 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere.
Moreover, Petrom is the first company in Moldova that received a CO2 Certificate, that showed again Petrom’s commitment in the context of climate change and the desire to be directly involved in the sustainability & greening campaigns in Moldova.
