Investing in Education – DRÄXLMAIER
Two months ago there was already news about the start of the Erasmus+ project NEEDEDU4.0 (Improving Mechanical Engineering Education in Moldova for Industry 4.0). This project aims to modernize teaching in higher education institutions in Moldova in order to improve the employment rate of graduates. A specific objective of this project, co-financed by the European Union, is the introduction of a new master’s programme in mechanical engineering.
On 24-26 April, the DRÄXLMAIER Group organised the first study visit to Vilsbiburg. Fifteen professors from the Technical University of Moldova in Chisinau, Alecu Russo State University in Balti, Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu University in Cahul, Transilvania University in Brasov and RWTH University in Aachen participated with great interest. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the Erasmus+ NEEDEDU4.0 project team with the industry requirements and how they can be integrated into the new curricula in Moldova. The guests were particularly impressed by the laboratory and factory tours, where they were introduced to DRÄXLMAIER’s wide range of technologies.
