“Digital skills connect generations” project – Moldcell
The project “Digital skills connect generations” aims to promote the social and digital inclusion of older people with the help of young people.
The project is funded by UNFPA Moldova, Moldcell Foundation, Swiss Cooperation in Moldova and the Czech Embassy in Chisinau, and is carried out by HelpAge International Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova in 25 rural localities.
Launched in 2020, as a pilot project in the midst of a pandemic, it has over time turned into a real national movement with 500 beneficiaries.
The grandparents will receive smartphones connected to the internet and will learn to use them, being helped by the #Moldcell Foundation volunteers. Social networks, mobile applications, online services will no longer be terms unknown to them.
