Commitment to reduce the carbon emissions to zero - EFES Moldova

Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery has a firm commitment and a concrete plan to reduce its carbon emissions to zero.

In line with this commitment, the greenhouse gas emission reduction policy has been developed and starting 2023 Efes Moldova is switching from LPG forklifts to electric powered vehicles.

At the same time, Efes has made an investment of EUR 200,000 in a biogas generation plant, a project that foresees the recovery of biogas from the wastewater treatment plant and its reuse in the heating plant by mixing it with natural gas.

The plant will save about 135 000 m3 of natural gas per year, which is equivalent to the consumption of about 420 apartments.
