Regional meeting of the National Confederations of Employers

Another regional meeting of the National Confederations of Employers from Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaidjan and Denmark took place during 29-30 May in Baku.
The main topics were dedicated to sustainability, especially related to: ✅implementation and reporting of ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) principles,
✅CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism),
✅“greenwashing” and “greenhushing” phenomena,
✅preparations and participation to COP29, ✅NDCs (National Determined Contribution) and
✅others.
Moldovan team, represented by Vladislav Caminschi, Ana Groza and Cristina Tiscul shared knowledge and delivered presentations on the ESG’s state of things in Moldova, value chain analysis and double materiality assessment, being followed by practical exercises.
Also, the participants had a field visit to the SOCAR, a state-owned oil and natural gas corporation engaged in upstream, midstream, and downstream activity. SOCAR is an environmentally conscious integrated energy company with its activities ranging across the globe.
The reunion was organized by Dansk Industri with the support of New Democracy Fund.
