In the context of “Country case studies” on regulatory and institutional frameworks and collaborative governance in selected countries from different regions, the International Telecommunication Union – ITU has selected Moldova 🇲🇩 as one of the case studies from Europe region.
Thus, ITU representatives interviewed today FIA members, Orange and Moldcell, key national stakeholders, and addressed practical aspects of policy implementation and regulatory reform. The interview also captured the views of the national stakeholders on issues such as the characteristics of modern G5 📱 regulation and pinpointed the drives for regulatory evolution.
The case study will highlight diverse experiences and different policy and regulatory patterns in order to explore the challenges, new ideas and lessons learnt by regulators on the path towards collaborative regulation. The case study will also focus on developing a better understanding of the role and impact of collaboration and collaborative governance, and the use of new tools for regulating ICT markets.
FIA was represented today by Ms Cristina Tiscul, who provided an overview on the investment climate in Moldova, challenges and opportunities, as well as the provisions of the White Book, regarding the Digitization of the Economy.
