On February 21, FIA Executive Director participated at the meeting organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova in order to discuss justice sector subject.
The ministry’s representatives informed that a policy paper was drafted in order to address existing justice system issues, to define the ways to solve these issues and to assess the expected impact on society, and asked for business environment opinion and support. The actions to be included in the document will mainly address practical measures to boost certain changes in the justice system and actions to implement the existing regulatory framework to ensure the stability and rule of law.
During the meeting, ministry’ representatives were interested in the justice sector issues that business representatives are facing with, in a broad sense, concerning the judiciary, the prosecutor’s offices and other law enforcement bodies, the liberal professions, etc. and the actions to be taken to solve them.
