The 2 days session (December 17-18) event dedicated to the Migrant’s International Day was organized by IOM and UNDP in partnership with MSMPS and BRD.
The first part of the 1st day session was dedicated to the empirical evidence on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on migration in the Republic of Moldova, by presenting the results of the ILO study: The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on migration: mobility, number and profile of returned migrants, the specific vulnerabilities of the groups affected by the decrease in remittances.
The second part of the session dealt with migration and the labor market from the perspective of respecting the rights of migrant workers.
