🔹 On October 17, 2024, the executive team of the Foreign Investors Association in Moldova (FIA) had the honor to meet with the IOM Moldova Head of Mission, Mrs. Ester Ruiz de Azua, to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration with the private sector in the Republic of Moldova. Together, the opportunities to integrate a sustainable approach into private sector engagement that would help streamline the ILO’s humanitarian and development outcomes were explored, in line with its new global strategy.
🤝 This meeting provided a valuable platform for expanding the dialogue between the FIA and the IOM, highlighting the crucial potential of the private sector in the migration-development relationship.
🔍 During the discussions, Mrs. Ana Groza, FIA Executive Director, presented the Association’s activity, objectives and mission, highlighting the current challenges and opportunities of the business environment. Also, the presentation of the investment climate was provided, along with the proposals of foreign investors for improvement of the investment climate in the Republic of Moldova, highlighted in its 2023 White Book.
🗨️ At the end of the meeting, Ms. Ester Ruiz de Azua underlined the essential role that the private sector in the Republic of Moldova can play in supporting the social, economic and cultural inclusion of migrants and refugees in the country.
