Upon the initiative of Veronica Arpintin, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization of the Republic of Moldova, the 9th meeting of the Working Group on Women’s Economic Empowerment and Gender Equality of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova was held on 13 June.
The purpose of the meeting was to consult with business representatives on the new Programme of support for women entrepreneurship, which will replace the previous programme “Women in Business” and will be implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Organization (ODA). In this context, UN Women Moldova conducted an 📑 evaluation of the original programme and presented findings on its implementation and impact, with a focus on the lessons learned.
📝Valuable suggestions for improvement of the new Programme outlined by the participants will be compiled and submitted to the Entrepreneurship Development Organization for inclusion in the Draft Programme, which will be submitted for public consultation shortly.
